This Request for Bids contains two projects located in the Johnston County Moccasin Creek Service District. Bidders are invited to bid on one or both projects. The Service District may waive any informalities or minor defects or reject any and all bids. The award for the Service District's Mowing and Debris Removal Maintenance Contract may be made to the responsible bidder that best meets the needs and interests of the Service District, taking into consideration quality and performance. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled bid date or authorized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the time and the date specified shall not be considered. No bidder may withdraw a bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Should there be reasons why the contract cannot be awarded within the specified period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the District and the bidder. Bidders must satisfy themselves of the accuracy of any estimated quantities in the bid by examination of the site and review of any drawings and specifications which may be relevant. Bidders should visit the site and take such other steps as may be reasonably necessary to ascertain the conditions of the site and the extent of the work. Failure to do so will not relieve the Contractor from responsibility for properly determining the difficulty and/or costs of successfully completing the work. Bid prices shall be a lump sum price for all services. Bidders shall incorporate all overhead into their prices. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: all materials, equipment, labor, delivery, profit, administrative costs, insurance, permits, licensure, vehicle mileage, union pension funds, workmen's compensation, unemployment insurance, social security, etc. Bid prices shall include all material needed for the specified mowing and maintenance project. Trip charges will not be allowed. No additional costs will be allowed. The contract documents shall include the information for bidders, the bid form, the construction contract with all addenda and reference form. The Service District wishes to procure the maintenance service for Winter maintenance work. Event bid description : If forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the bid must be enclosed in another envelope addressed to the Service District. All bids must be made on the required bid form, all blank spaces for bid prices must be filled in, in ink or typewritten, and the bid form must be fully completed and executed when submitted. PLEASE DO NOT FAIL TO SIGN AND DATE YOUR PROPOSAL. Only one (1) copy of the bid form is required. Electronically submitted (e-mail/fax) bids will not be accepted. Incomplete or nonconforming bids may result in rejection of the bid.
