Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Cortland, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a 7,700-square-foot transportation facility.
**As of March 18th, 2026 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.* 110-foot by 70-foot aircraft storage hangar building with offices. Utility service connections to the building. Demolition of existing and construction of new fencing. Owner work includes constructing site improvements including pavements for new parking lot with driveway and new aircraft apron pavements; as well as carpentry, electrical and plumbing work in the offices and mezzanine storage area. Separate contracts will be awarded for general, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical construction. All bids must be accompanied by a Proposal Surety in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The low bidder must submit an M/WBE & SDVOB utilization plan. If the apparent low bidder does not meet one or more of the Minority-Owned, Women-Owned, or Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business participation goals, evidence of good faith efforts must be submitted. Submitting a complete and accurate utilization plan with bid documents is a condition of award, as well as meeting the goals or demonstrating good faith efforts to do so. The proposal section includes a Proposal Checklist, and if all the required forms and documents are not included and correctly executed, the Proposal may be considered non-responsive. Bids may not be withdrawn for up to 90 calendar days after the bid opening. Cortland County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any formality and all technicalities in bids, and to accept such bids as may be deemed in the best interest of Cortland County.
