Qualified contractors are sought to bid on the complete commercial cleaning of three municipal buildings in the City of Cortland. Cleaning services are required 5 days a week, with expectations and schedules varying by department and location, and contractors must meet the unique requirements of each building. The buildings to be cleaned include: City Hall at 25 Court Street (approximately 9000 sq. ft, with secure Police Department and Court areas), the Department of Public Works at 19 S. Frankling St. (approximately 800 sq. ft), and the Youth Bureau at 35 Port Watson St. (approximately 1800 sq. ft). Contract Term: One (1) year with the option to renew for up to two (2) additional one-year periods upon mutual agreement. Deadline for questions/clarifications (by 2:00 p.m.) 1/23/2026 Answers to questions released 1/26/2026 The City intends to award a contract on the basis of the best interest and advantage to the City, and reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals received as a result of this request, to negotiate with all qualified proposers or to cancel this RFP in part or in its entirety, if it is in the best interest of the City to do so
