The Cortland County Department of Public Works will receive sealed bids for a one-year contract for various materials and/or services. The items include abrasives for snow and ice control, bituminous concrete, bituminous liquids, crushed stone, geotextile, heavy rock rip rap, highway aggregates, pavement crack filling, recycled asphalt pavement, stone filling materials, transit mix concrete/precast concrete blocks, ULS diesel 15PPM fuel, and unleaded gasoline (87 octane). Materials and services may be procured for use in highway and roadway maintenance, repair, and construction. Each bid must be clearly marked with the specific items being bid. Bids may be submitted in person, by regular mail, or by overnight/express shipment to specified addresses. Detailed bid instructions, including requirements on ink-written forms, tax exemptions, delivery deadlines, and procedures for addenda, are provided. The awarded bid prices typically remain effective from April 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027, with possible extensions for up to three additional years upon mutual agreement. The county may place orders as needed and does not guarantee order placement. The right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and award contracts in the county's best interest is reserved.
