This project is the third phase of a multi-phase plan to replace existing lead service lines in the City of Calumet City. Approximately 300 lead service lines will be replaced with new copper service lines. Construction will consist of full-service line replacements from the water main to the water meter inside the building and partial line replacements from either the water main to the buffalo box or the buffalo box to the water meter inside the building. Work also involves the restoration of miscellaneous areas disturbed by construction, including but not limited to pavement, driveways, and landscaping.
