Collier County advertises Bid No. 26-8633 for the construction of the Wiggins Pass Dredge 2026 - Grant Funded Project located in Collier County, Florida, seeking sealed bids. Prospective bidders must register on the specified vendor registration portal to obtain a complete set of documents. TS-2.1 The Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment, and performing all tasks necessary for the construction of the following project: WIGGINSS PASS Maintenance Dredge Project located near the inlet portion of the main channel for Wiggins Passin Collier County, Florida. The Contract Drawingsshow dredging approximately 75,000 CY of sand from a portion of the authorized main channel template from Station 11+00 east to Station C-10, approximately 2,500 CY from east channel located from station C-20 east to C-23, and another approximately 4,200 CY from the south channel ranging from the main channel south to Station C-32, and placement of the sand on the beach and in the nearshore south of Wiggins Pass along Delnor-Wiggins State Park from DEP reference monument R-18 to R-20. The final determination of the quantity of sand to be dredged and/or placed on the beach will be based on a pre-construction survey conducted by the CONTRACTOR TS-2.2 The Work must be completed according to the Contract Drawings and these Technical Specifications within the time specified in the contract and in compliance with the conditions of all federal, state, and local permits, including permits from Collier County, DEP, USACE, and USCG. Work conducted after April 15, 2026, which represents the early start of the sea turtle nesting season for Collier County beaches, will require daily clearance from the marine turtle monitor for Collier County. Sea turtle nesting season ends October 31st . Work conducted on the beach between February 15thand August 31st requires daily clearance from the County's shorebird monitor. TS-2.3 The CONTRACTOR is solely responsible for all construction means, methods, techniques, and procedures including construction layout and staking, monitoring and recording of dredge depths, maintaining as-built drawings, monitoring turbidity and maintaining water quality, and the sequence of the Work as specified in Section TS-5.0. TS-2.4 The CONTRACTOR shall use a 12" (minimum inside diameter) and a 12" (minimum freeboard), or preferably larger, hydraulic dredge with the ability to pump material 5,000 feet and the ability to complete the work in the existing water depths and inlet conditions including currents and waves. The CONTRACTOR must clearly demonstrate that the equipment to be used is capable of completing the Work. This includes providing specific references and productions rates for the equipment to be used for this Work. CONTRACTOR must have and demonstrate experience with the scale of the proposed dredging and disposal Work presented herein and work in conditions similar to the site conditions presented herein and at the time of year in which the work will be conducted Question Deadline 01/12/2026 at 5:00 PM ET
