This project provides for the installation of durable pavement markings between Milepost 000.00 and Milepost 201.58 on Toll I-376, Turnpike 576, Turnpike 43, and Turnpike 66 in Lawrence, Beaver, Butler, Allegheny, Fayette, Washington, Westmoreland, Somerset, Bedford, Fulton, Huntingdon, and Franklin Counties. Work authorizations will be issued to the contractor to perform installations as needed throughout the contract period ending November 19, 2027. Work may include installation of Highly Reflectorized Polyurea Pavement Markings, Permanent Preformed Patterned Reflective Pavement Markings, Highly Reflectorized Hot Thermoplastic Pavement Markings, pavement marking legends, miscellaneous interchange or mainline pavement marking work, and other related items, with prices for additional work negotiated per authorization. Major work items include Permanent Preformed Patterned Reflective Pavement Marking, Pavement Marking Removal, Highly Reflectorized Polyurea Pavement Markings (surface applied), Highly Reflectorized Hot Thermoplastic Pavement Markings with 3M Connected Roads AW 90 Series Elements (surface applied), Reapplication Surface Preparation, and Removal of Permanent Preformed Patterned Reflective Pavement Markings. Total maximum contract cost shall not exceed $7,750,000. An electronic bid bond with corporate surety in the amount of $1,000 must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three low bidders will be retained until contract execution. Prequalification by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is not a prerequisite for bidding on this project. Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act apply. Questions must be submitted electronically by registered business partners by noon on the Wednesday before the bid opening date. Bids not meeting all requirements will not be considered a waiver or modification of the requirements.
