The project consists of a Design-Build recapitalization and modernization of the existing waterfront and supporting infrastructure at USCG Station Juneau to support the homeporting of USCGC STORIS and visiting cutter classes. Work generally includes demolition of the existing aging waterfront wharf and support facilities, construction of a new wharf to support at least one cutter berth, and construction of a new floating pier system supporting multiple cutter berths. The scope also includes installation of fender systems and mooring infrastructure, shore power and electrical system upgrades, potable water, sewer, fire protection, and communications systems, backup power, site-wide utility distribution, and associated civil and site improvements. Optional work may include building renovations, a covered floating small boat facility, dredging, and additional facility upgrades. The project will be executed in an active, 24/7 operational Coast Guard environment requiring continuous mission operations, temporary utilities, access, and mooring systems, and careful coordination of marine logistics, environmental permitting, and seasonal construction windows. Design and construction must address extreme tidal variation, high wind events, seismic requirements, cold-region construction conditions, corrosion exposure, and heavy cutter berthing and mooring loads. A site walk is planned to allow industry participants to observe existing conditions and support constructability and execution planning. ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE OF REQUIREMENT: The estimated magnitude is more than $100 million in accordance with FAR 36.204.
