No definite date for the rebid.** The work consists of furnishing labor, materials, and equipment for the construction of Whalehead Subdivision Drainage Improvements - Phase VI. The project includes the installation of 8" nominal dimension IPS HDPE force main pipe by horizontal directional drilling (HDD), and a 4" nominal dimension IPS HDPE force main pipe by open trench construction. Additional site work includes lift stations, electrical work, grading, temporary shoring, excavation, installation of drainpipe and structures, concrete work, plantings, and erosion control. Bids will be received for a single prime contract, with all bids being lump sum base bids based on the scope of work defined in the contract documents, plans, and specifications. Instructions to bidders include: - Bidders must ensure their bid is received at the specified location by the deadline. - Each bid must be accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check, or bid bond equal to 5% of the bid amount. - The successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract amount. - No bid may be withdrawn for 30 days after the bid opening deadline. - All bidders must meet licensing requirements under Chapter 87 of the N.C.
