The work is for the supply and delivery of one (1) backhoe in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications set out, to the satisfaction of the City. Delivery is to be made to the City’s Operations Centre at 1955 Clements Rd., Pickering, ON. The unit will be inspected upon delivery. The scope includes providing two (2) additional programmed keys, and the warranty is to become effective on the in-service date, confirmed in writing by the Company. The City may consider alternatives or substitutions that are equivalent or superior to the specified requirements, provided proper substantiation is submitted and written approval is received prior to the closing date. The equipment must meet or surpass the mandatory requirements of the Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations and comply with all applicable legislation. Equipment must be of first-class quality and meet all specifications listed. The Company must provide in-depth training for up to fifteen staff, including operator and mechanic training at no additional cost at the Operations Centre. Manuals required include one Shop Manual (USB or thumb drive), two Owner’s Manuals, and one complete Parts Manual. All loss or damage during work, or from unforeseen circumstances, shall be sustained and borne by the Company at their own expense, including replacement of defective or rejected work. The City reserves the right to cancel or not consider any quotations, or cancel any order if goods or services are unsatisfactory. Pricing must be all-inclusive, quoted in Canadian funds, and must follow instructions in the bidding system. All items must be bid and information provided as requested.
