As of 1/21/2026, this project has been placed on hold. Mo additional information is available at this time. Sealed proposals are requested for the Paint Rock Valley Research Facility. A cashier’s check or bid bond payable to Alabama A&M University in an amount not less than five percent of the bid, but no more than $10,000, must accompany the proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance, as required in the bid documents, will be required at contract signing. Drawings and specifications may be examined at the office of the architect after January 12, 2026. Bid Documents may be obtained from the Architect with a deposit of $200.00 per set, refundable for the first two sets to bidding general contractors who return them in good condition within ten days of the bid date. Other sets may be obtained with the same deposit, refundable less printing and handling costs. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Architect. All bidders exceeding the amount established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under Alabama law and must display their current license number on the sealed envelope containing the proposal. Nonresident bidders must include a written opinion from an attorney licensed in their state regarding any preference their state grants to its business entities. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if it serves the Owner’s best interests. Minority owned business participation is encouraged.
