Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Tyler, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

The project involves the installation of playground equipment, including play surface, labor only, for various elementary schools. Bidders are required to be licensed and insured and must meet all bidding requirements as set forth in the bidding documents. Kompan Inc. is supplying all equipment, surfacing and shade all equipment is already purchased and will be ready for delivery at the time of bid award. Submittals for all equipment are included in this packet which give specific equipment detail, including equipment specifications, fall heights, number of installers, total installation time, excavation volume, concrete volume, footing depth, shipment weight, etc. Subcontractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services necessary to complete the demolition and installation of playground equipment at Johnson Elementary School, as directed by Limestone County Schools and in coordination with the manufacturer, KOMPAN. All work shall comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including ASTM, CPSC, and ADA standards. o Mobilization of crew, machinery, and equipment. o Conduct initial site walk-through with the client to identify utilities, entrance, and exit points. o Install playground equipment per KOMPAN specifications. o Provide a dumpster and handle debris 2. Coordination of equipment removal and new equipment installation will need to be coordinated with Kompan Project Management and Sales by school, limiting the amount of time the schools are not able to have access to the playgrounds. Each site will rotate, equipment demo, and then equipment installation to limit the installation timeframe. Shade post installation will occur next, with pour in place surfacing to follow with an adequate weather window. Shade sails can be installed anytime after shade posts installation is complete. 3. Installation will occur beginning in December 2025 to take advantage of the holiday break while schools are released to limit the disruption to carpool and school recess downtime as much as possible. Playground Labor Scope of Work for Demolition of Existing equipment and Installation of New Kompan Playground equipment by each location: 1 .Demolition of existing equipment per site is required. Demolition includes removal of all existing equipment on verified age 5-12 playgrounds at each site, including existing concrete footers, borders, filter fabric, and surfacing whether that be engineered wood fibre or pea gravel. Site grading and preparation for installation of new equipment. 2 locations currently have pea gravel installed.
