Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Tyler, Alabama. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.
The Center Street Improvements Project will enhance mobility and accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists between Main Street and University Drive and the surrounding Downtown area. The project will create a gateway into downtown, a sense of arrival, and a connection from the Convention Center to Downtown business. Building on the previously completed Design Concept Report (DCR) for Center Street (McKellips Road to Broadway Road), this project focuses on implementing a cohesive complete streets design. Event pre-bid note: All interested firms are encouraged to attend the Pre-Submittal Conference since City staff will not be available for meetings or to respond to individual inquiries regarding the project outside of this Pre-Submittal conference. In addition, meeting minutes or any other information will not be posted from the Pre-Submittal Conference. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Statements of Qualifications. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. "Requests for proposals for design services is underway."
