The scope of work consists of the construction or other effectuation of improvements generally designated as NORTH STREAMS SANITARY SEWER, STORM SEWER, AND PAVING - SECTION 3. The work includes, but is not limited to: mobilization/demobilization, traffic control, installation of construction entrance, clearing and grubbing, common earthwork, aggregate bedding and construction of various types and sizes of sanitary and storm sewer pipes and manholes, installation and adjustment of sewer manholes, curb inlet protection, concrete washout, stormwater pollution prevention plan maintenance, curb removal and subgrade preparation, installation of geotextile fabric, construction of concrete pavement, placing of various pipe plugs, installation of curb inlets and traffic signs, cleaning of sanitary sewer pipe, seeding, rolled erosion control, and all related preparatory and subsidiary work from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount specified as evidence of good faith. The successful bidder must enter into a contract within the specified time after Notice of Award and furnish an acceptable bond in the amount of 100% of the total bid price. Bids will be accepted only from those listed on the planholders lists kept at the Engineer's office and the offices of the document provider. The District reserves the right to waive formalities and to reject all or any bids. All work must be completed in strict accordance with the drawings and specifications prepared by the Engineer for the District. Costs associated with obtaining documents are the responsibility of the bidder and are non-refundable.
