A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Sealed bids are requested for the construction of the Joe Webb Memorial Branch Library in Haynesville, Louisiana. The estimated construction budget is approximately $1,350,000.00. Complete bidding documents are available in electronic form from Louisiana Digital Reproduction, and arrangements for printed copies can be made through most reprographic firms. Prime Bidders, Sub Contractors, and Suppliers must ensure that they obtain full sets of bidding documents, as the Owner and Architect will not be responsible for errors due to incomplete sets. All bids must include a bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid and any alternates, in the form of a certified or cashier's check, or a bid bond from a surety company qualified to do business in Louisiana and listed on the U.S. Department of the Treasury's approved bonding companies list, or be a Louisiana domiciled insurance company with at least an A- rating by A.M. Best. No bid bond will be accepted if it indicates an obligation of less than five percent (5%) of the bid. The successful bidder must provide a Performance and Payment Bond for 100% of the contract amount, under the same surety qualifications. Bidders must be licensed in Louisiana for Building Construction and bids cannot be withdrawn for thirty (30) days, unless allowed by specific statute. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids for just cause, and any provisions or requirements stated in the advertisement, Section, and bid form will not be waived by any public entity. This is a sales tax exempt project. The contractor will be designated as an Agent of the Governmental Entity for the purposes of making sales tax exempt purchases. The contractor must complete the necessary designation and exemption certificates required by the Louisiana Department of Revenue.
