The project includes locations along Airport Road (T-601) and Old Jonestown Road (T-561). The work along Airport Road will include two culvert replacements between 18 to 24 diameters, with end treatments to include concrete endwalls and/or rip-rap. One culvert is located along an Unnamed Tributary to Elizabeth Run, and the other is a storm drainage culvert only. The work along Old Jonestown Road will include providing approximately 200 LF of rip-rap armoring along the streambank of an Unnamed Tributary to Swatara Creek. Immediately downstream, the project will also involve the removal and disposal of in-stream sediment build-up from beneath, and with 50-feet upstream and downstream of a bridge. Bid security in the form a Certified Check or Bid Bond shall be furnished with the bid in an amount not less than 10%. Bidders should refer to provisions of federal and state statutes, rules and regulations dealing with the prevention of environmental pollution and preservation of public natural resources that affect the project, pursuant to Act No. 247 of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, approved October 26, 1972. This Project falls under The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania enacted Act 127 of 2012, known as the Public Works Employment Verification Act which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Governments E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States. All Bidders are required to submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form as a precondition for the Contract Award.
