The City seeks qualified contractors for on-call water and sewer maintenance, repair, and small construction projects to support the Public Services Department with emergency response (such as main breaks and sewer backups) as well as planned work throughout the city. The scope of services includes emergency repairs (water main breaks, sewer line failures), routine maintenance, new installations (pipes, valves, hydrants, manholes), site restoration, traffic control, and 24/7 emergency response with mobilization required within 2 hours for after-hours emergencies. All work must comply with City standards, and where those are silent, Colorado Springs Utilities standards. Bid submission requires electronic entry. Bidders must acknowledge all addenda. Participation requirements include Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, Minority Business, and Women-Owned Business participation. General requirements include appropriate certification or training, contractor’s license, installation capability, insurance, and warranty information. Bonding requirements are 100% performance bond and 50% payment bond.
