The work includes demolition and disposal of the existing 2-million-gallon above-grade welded steel water storage tank, followed by construction of a new AWWA D110, Type III wire-wound, prestressed concrete water storage tank. The new tank will have an inside diameter of 119 feet and a high-water depth of 36 feet, providing a total capacity of 3 million gallons. Work also involves demolition of existing infrastructure, modifications to existing utilities, installation of new water lines and valves, and all associated earthwork. Bidders are required to provide a physical bid to 8495 Fontaine Blvd prior to the close of bid. At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all Bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud. All interested parties are invited to attend. Clearing, grubbing, and stripping the pipeline alignment and structure site and temporarily stockpiling acceptable stripped topsoil materials onsite separately for use in reclamation of disturbed areas; 2. Offsite disposal of cleared, grubbed, and unacceptable stripped materials; 3. Potholing of existing utilities; 4. Demolition and disposal of the existing above-grade welded steel water storage tank, measuring 95 feet in diameter by 38.5 feet in height, with a total capacity of 2.0 million gallons, including removal of all tank appurtenances, piping, and the concrete ringwall foundation; 5. Construction of a new AWWA D110, Type III wire-wound, prestressed circular concrete tank measuring 119 feet in diameter with a 36-foot high-water level, including the common inlet/outlet, drain, overflow piping, connections to the existing water line, and all associated tank appurtenances; 6. Earthwork required for pipe installation and construction of associated structures, including casting bed areas and crane staging areas; 7. Installing Contractor-furnished valves and fittings; 8. Field pressure testing of installed pipe and valves; 9. Leak testing, disinfection of piping and tank structure; 10. Furnishing and installing tank appurtenances; 11. Reclamation of areas disturbed by construction; and 12. Furnishing and installing additional materials and equipment as specified
