Work includes street, utility, and parking lot work. BASE BID A covers West School Street reconstruction from Hibbard Street to S. Luddington Street, totaling approximately 2,600 LF of urban section street reconstruction, including the removal of concrete, asphalt, curb and gutter, sidewalk, and driveway aprons; installation of 2,340 tons of asphaltic pavement, concrete curb and gutter, concrete drive approaches, and concrete sidewalk; relay of about 2,300 LF of 8-Inch and 500 LF of 12-Inch sanitary sewer including manholes, service laterals, and other appurtenances; installation of about 2,700 LF of 8-Inch watermain including valves, fire hydrants, water services, and other appurtenances; installation of about 820 LF of 12-Inch, 720 LF of 15-Inch, and 400 LF of 24-Inch storm sewer including manholes, catch basins, and other appurtenances; pavement markings, tree removal and planting, work zone traffic control, detour, erosion and sediment control measures, surface restoration, cleanup, and related facilities. BASE BID B covers Warner Park, Meister Park, and Waterloo Lift Station parking lot improvements, including removals, stone base course, 535 tons of asphaltic pavement, concrete curb and gutter, concrete drive approach, concrete sidewalk, sanitary sewer lateral installation, water service installation, tree removal, traffic control, erosion and sediment control, surface restoration, cleanup, and related facilities. All work is included in a single prime contract. Construction time is of the essence. Completion delays are subject to liquidated damages. The City of Columbus reserves the right to accept the most advantageous bid or reject any and all bids. Award of work is subject to the provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes.
