The City of West Jordan Public Works Department, Engineering Division, is seeking bids from pre-qualified professional engineering firms to provide design and bid-ready construction documents for a roundabout at the intersection of 8200 South and 6700 West. The selected firm will coordinate with the City and utility providers to advance the City’s concept design to prepare right of way acquisition documents, identify and accommodate utility relocations, develop exhibits and legal descriptions, prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates, and finalize documents necessary to advertise the project for construction bidding. The firm is required to complete field surveying, research and plat legal descriptions for all impacted parcels, prepare acquisition and easement exhibits, coordinate with public and private utility providers, prepare and advance construction drawings to 60% and 90% design incorporating City feedback, develop an Engineering Opinion of Probable Cost, and submit final stamped and signed construction drawings and bid documents in accordance with City standards. Bidders must familiarize themselves with the scope of work, legal and site requirements, and all conditions affecting performance, and submit electronic bids with all required cost schedules via the Utah Public Procurement Place (U3P Bonfire). Bid submission instructions specify format, platform requirements, and that questions should be routed through the designated Q&A process on the procurement portal. Insurance coverage and registration compliance are mandatory. Only pre-approved vendors may submit a response. All bids must comply with City codes and ethical standards. Exceptions to requirements must be clearly noted in a separate document at the time of submission. The selected firm will coordinate with the City and affected utility providers, as required, to prepare complete design and bid documents for the project. Using the City’s concept design, the consultant shall advance the design to a level sufficient to: • Prepare right of way acquisition documents • Identify and accommodate utility relocations • Develop exhibits and legal descriptions • Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates • Prepare documents necessary to advertise the project for construction bidding The consultant shall be responsible for all tasks necessary to prepare exhibits, legal descriptions, construction drawings, an Engineering Opinion of Probable Cost, and bid documents in accordance with City of West Jordan standards. Work shall include, but is not limited to, the following tasks.
