A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The project involves constructing a new treatment process for the removal of PFAS at the Riverneck WTP. The treatment process will be housed in a separate masonry building and consist of six, pressurized 12-foot diameter vessels filled with granular activated carbon (GAC). The building will be approximately 132 by 57 feet with the main process floor depressed 4-feet below ground elevation. The building will contain two-celled backwash supply tanks with vertical turbine pumps, an electrical room, and a mechanical room. The work will also include various upgrades to the Riverneck WTP main building. The total time period for completion of all Work required under this Contract is 638 consecutive calendar days. Work performed beyond the 638 consecutive calendar day period will be subject to liquidated damages in the amount of $2000 for each consecutive calendar day. This project included prequalification for General Contractors and Filed Subbidders. Only prequalified General Contractors and Filed Subbidders can submit a bid. Electrical room will consist of two electric unit heaters, motor control center, distribution panel, thermostat, lighting panel, fire alarm control panel, programmable logic center, and three backwash water pump variable frequency drives. b. Mechanical room will consist of potable water pressure regulator and water meter as well as natural gas fired water heater. c. Backwash Pump Station will consist of two vertical turbine pumps and concrete two celled supply tank. d. Process Area will consist of a depressed floor with walkway at ground elevations around two sides, three sets of twelve foot diameter lead/lag GAC pressure vessels with common manifolds, process piping, and reserved area for future ion-exchange vessels (not included in this Work). 2. Modifications to the Existing Riverneck Water Treatment Plant including reorganization to include a new sodium hypochlorite feed system, reorganization/replacement of analyzers, and rehabilitation of the existing horizontal pressure filters. 3. Stormwater infiltration basins. 4. Sanitary Pump Station. 5. Yard Piping and Appurtenances. 6. Site Work.
