The work consists of patching pavement within Timberline Plats 1, 9, and 10, south of Douglas Parkway between 128th Street and 142nd Street for the 2026 PCC Patch Program Phase 1. The project includes approximately 7,000 SY full depth patching, approximately 750 SY of sidewalk and ADA ramps, and related items including removals, restoration, traffic control, erosion control, and survey. The contractor is required to fully complete the project by the specified date. Each bidder must submit bid security amounting to 10% of the total bid, which may be in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, certified share draft, or bid bond on the provided form. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond for 100% of the contract amount. Contractors and subcontractors must not include sales tax for material purchases and will be issued a certificate of exemption upon contract acceptance. Payments will be made based on monthly estimates, with 97% of the contract value paid monthly and the balance paid in accordance with applicable provisions. Preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within Iowa, and reciprocal resident bidder and labor force preferences will apply under Iowa law. The City of Urbandale reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids without discrimination.
