**As of February 27, 2026, the project was awarded to McLeRoy, with an awarded amount of $5,759,219.47.** The major items of work include temporary and permanent traffic control (signage, striping, lane and shoulder closure), temporary and permanent erosion control, complete grading (clearing and grubbing, grading, diversions), subgrade and base preparation (graded aggregate base), asphalt placement (recycled asphalt concrete Superpave, 25MM, 19MM, 12.5 MM), concrete construction (curb and gutter, median, concrete skills pad), drainage construction (storm-drain pipes, storm drainage structures, stormwater management facilities including bio-ponds and detention ponds), roadside treatments (ditching, vegetation establishment), water system construction (watermain installation, valve installation, fire hydrant assembly installation), and draft pit (fire truck test vault) installation. Bids must be clearly marked and sealed, accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of five percent of the bid, and submitted by the specified deadline. Only bids from those who have purchased the bid documents and meet pre-qualification requirements will be accepted. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive formalities, and award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. The successful bidder must provide a satisfactory performance bond and a labor and material payment bond, each for 100% of the bid amount. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 days of opening. All work is to be done in accordance with current GDOT standards and specifications. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing, addressed to the engineer at jamason@coweta.ga.us, and in order to be given consideration must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids.
