Sealed bids are requested for furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to complete the renovation of Ryland Heights Elementary School, 3845 Stewart Drive, Ryland Heights, Kentucky 41015, for the Kenton County School District. The work will be performed under one contract. Bidders may obtain bidding documents online at no cost, but costs for paper copies are the bidder’s responsibility and are non-refundable. A set of documents includes one set of drawings and one project manual. A pre-bid meeting will be held for interested parties, and all questions must be submitted to the Architect by the specified deadline. Bid security is required in the amount and form defined by the Instructions to Bidders and any amendments. Any proposed equal for a standard must be submitted to the Architect at least ten days before the bid opening and will be considered rejected if not accepted by addendum. No fewer than the four apparent low bidders must submit qualification information as per DOCUMENT 001153, which includes the application of any reciprocal preference for resident bidders as prescribed. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond of not less than 100% of the contract sum. Liquidated damages will be assessed for failure to complete the work within the specified time. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and reject any or all bids. Bids must remain valid for sixty days from the date designated for receipt.
