Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; road / highway; road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The work involves the relay of existing sanitary sewers and sanitary laterals to each property, construction of new water mains and relay of existing water mains, including water services, new valves, and hydrants. It also includes asphalt overlay and restoration, patching the roadway once utility work is complete, sidewalk patching, and all restoration of lawns and terraces. The contractor is solely responsible for all work, which will be awarded under a single prime contract. The contract includes the agreement, performance bond, payment bond, certificates, applicable technical specifications, addenda, and contract modifications. The work must be constructed in stages to meet owner requirements, with asphalt overlay and sidewalk patching to be installed after completing utility work on each street before excavation begins on the next. Continuous work effort is required, and the contractor is not allowed to leave the site during construction. Operations must be confined to areas permitted under contract or as directed by the engineer, with parking only in designated areas. The contractor is responsible for repairing any damage to public or private property at no additional cost to the owner and must coordinate with other contractors or owner personnel working at the site to avoid interference or delay. There are specific requirements for business and resident cooperation, notice for affected parties, on-site work hours, and utility interruptions. Products may not be stored at the site prior to construction, unless approved by the engineer, and must comply with all rules, regulations, and standards of relevant authorities. All bidders, including subcontractors, must submit proof of responsibility forms, and each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond of 5%. Furnish and Install 4" PVC Sewer and 1" PVC Water Service to all Properties 25 Each Turf Restoration of all Disturbed Areas 1 Lump Sum A. Description of Project 1. Sanitary Sewer Relay - Relay of existing sanitary sewers, and the sanitary laterals that run to each property. 2. Water Main Relay & Construction- Construction of new water mains, relay of existing water mains, and the water services that run to each property, as well as new valves and hydrants. 3. Asphalt Overlay & Restoration - Patching roadway once utility work is complete with a smooth, uniform surface for driving, sidewalk patching, and all required restoration of lawns and terraces.
