The work includes a base bid for resurfacing and full-depth patching of approximately 5.5 miles of existing roads, along with all other related work and appurtenances as shown on the Drawings and described in the Specifications. Mandatory additive alternates include: (1) 106th Street - resurfacing and full-depth patching of approximately 1.09 miles; (2) Catalina Way - full-depth replacement of approximately 0.1 miles of existing concrete street; (3) CR 850E - resurfacing and full-depth patching of approximately 0.64 miles; (4) CR 500S - resurfacing and full-depth patching of approximately 0.52 miles; (5) Willow Ridge Drive - resurfacing and full-depth patching of approximately 0.49 miles, including all related work and appurtenances for each segment. Sealed hard copy bids will be received at the specified location by the designated deadline. No electronic submittals will be accepted. Each bidder is responsible for inspecting the sites and reviewing all bidding documents. Bids from entities not on the Plan Holders List will be returned unopened. Bids must include bid security of 5% of the total bid (including alternates), and the successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract price. Bids must be on official forms and include all required information per Indiana Form 96. The Owner reserves the right to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid or reject any or all bids or waive any irregularities as deemed in its best interest.
