Project Description: The proposed project will convert the existing four-way stop-controlled intersection at Boone County Road 300S and County Road 975E into a roundabout to improve traffic flow, reduce delays, and enhance operations efficiency. Due to the substantial elevation changes east of the intersection and the presence of a historic cemetery on the northwest corner, the roundabout will need to be shifted south. This shift will require careful reconfiguration to minimize impacts on nearby properties, as well as expanded environmental reviews and complex right-of-way acquisitions. These factors will contribute to the overall project cost, but the design adjustments will ensure the roundabout meets transportation needs while respecting environmental, historical, and community considerations.
