Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Bettendorf, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

This project combines two smaller projects with similar scopes: the Kiwanis Park Mini-Pitch Project and the Lincoln Park Improvements Project. The work for the Kiwanis Park Mini-Pitch Project includes removing the existing basketball standards and foundations, plugging the storm sewer, minor grading, placing and compacting the rock base, placing and compacting the hot-mix asphalt base widening, placing and compacting the hot-mix asphalt surface over the base widening and existing basketball court, surface restoration, and other related work. The Lincoln Park Improvements Project includes pavement removal, PCC sidewalk, PCC pavement replacement, surface restoration, and other related work at Lincoln Park. Before starting construction, the Contractor must submit a line of march and schedule of work listing critical path items, including removals, grading, rock base, HMA pavement, and other items required to establish a program time schedule. No work may start without engineer approval. All work must strictly comply with the provided plans and specifications. Bidders must submit their bids electronically, and all bid documents, plans, and specifications are available on the designated electronic bid submission website. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or a bid bond in the amount of ten percent of the bid. The successful bidder is required to furnish a performance and maintenance bond equal to 100% of the contract price. Contractors are subject to standardized evaluation upon completion of the work, which may impact eligibility for future projects. Preference is given to products, provisions, and labor sourced from Iowa. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities and irregularities if deemed necessary. Liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day will be assessed for every day past the completion date. Question Deadline 01/21/2026 at 12:00 PM CT
