The work involves an on-call contract for the general repairs and construction of sanitary sewer laterals, small sanitary sewer system repair projects, and emergency repairs of the sanitary sewer system, as well as general repairs, maintenance, and emergency repairs of stormwater facilities. Stormwater facilities include all types of systems to transfer or store stormwater, including but not limited to stormwater pipes, structures, roadways, swales, berms, gutters, as well as tasks such as replacing or repairing stormwater pipe, catchbasins/inlets, inlet grates, curb pieces, road repairs (such as potholes), and other related small items and emergency repairs. The project may also include other miscellaneous items required to complete the work. The contract duration is two years. Proposals must be submitted on standard Proposal Forms as designated in the Bid Documents, enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the work, and addressed to the City Clerk. Submittals must include a statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized in New Jersey and either a Bid Bond, Certified, or Cashier's Check payable to the City for not less than ten percent of the amount bid (not exceeding $20,000). The successful bidder will need to provide a performance bond for the full contract amount. Compliance is required with Affirmative Action requirements, Iranian investment ban certification, New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Worker and Community Right-to-Know Act, Stockholder Disclosure Certification, Business Registration Certification, Public Works Contractors Registration, Consent of Surety, Addendum Acknowledgement, and Subcontractors List. The City reserves the right to consider bids for sixty days, to reject any or all bids, or to waive informalities as in the City's best interest. Each proposal and bid must follow the terms of the specifications and be submitted on the standard proposal forms provided in the bid documents.
