The City of Florissant is seeking bids from qualified, licensed electrical contractors to provide on-call electrical repair, maintenance, project, and emergency services for City-owned facilities and infrastructure. The contractor shall provide normal electrical services, including but not limited to: electrical troubleshooting, repair, and replacement; emergency electrical services (24/7 on-call as required); minor electrical projects and upgrades; installation, repair, and maintenance of interior and exterior lighting; electrical switches and control systems; and pole work, such as ball field and tennis court lighting, and associated fixtures, wiring, and equipment. All work must comply with applicable codes, safety standards, and regulations. Contractors must be properly licensed and insured, experienced in municipal or commercial electrical work, and able to respond promptly to emergency calls. Services are provided on an as-needed basis and not all electrical work for the City is guaranteed under this bid. Projects over $5,000 require a competitive bid process. Bidders must submit electronically, create an account with OpenGov, and follow the instructions for submission. Required proposal elements include confirmation of meeting all proposal requirements, listing certifications, detailing the qualifications of proposed workers, outlining warranties and safety protocols, listing guaranteed response times, and submitting references. A minimum of three references is required. Bidders must affirm compliance with the Work Authorization Program and Federal Apprenticeship Policy. Pricing must be submitted per the format provided in the bid documentation.
