**As of March 12th, 2026, the project was awarded to Hall Contracting , with an awarded amount of $631,449.70** CLARK COUNTY MILLING, PAVING, BASE REPAIR FOR SECTIONS OF CR-160 from CR-403 to Fox Rd and Opossum Trot Rd. Question Deadline 02/09/2026 at 5:00 PM ET Please address all questions concerning the bid for this project to Brian Dixon, Clark County Engineer, 812-285-6286, bdixon@clarkcounty.in.gov. This project includes milling, resurfacing, patching and base repair of asphalt, pavement markings, and all other necessary items to result in a complete project. Project Description: Starting at the Intersection of CR-403 and CR-160 in Charlestown and extending northwest along CR-160 to the intersection of CR-160 and Fox Rd and Opossum Trot Rd. approximately 3.7, miles. Contractor shall mill and remove/dispose of 2-inches of existing asphalt pavement, repair/patch approximately 20% of exiting base material, proof roll base and install 1.5-inches of new HMA asphalt surface material for the entire project. In addition, 2 culverts will also be replaced as a part of this contract. Culvert Number 1 is located at 1612 CR-160. Contractor shall remove and replace existing 96-inch culvert with an 80" x 192" x 36' Aluminum Multi-Plate (provided by County). Culvert Number 2 is also located near 1612 CR-160. Contractor shall remove and replace existing 72-inch culvert with an 83" x 57" x 36' Galvanized Steel Pipe (provided by County). Contractor to provide and install guardrail on each side of road for each culvert. Guardrail and Guardrail installation shall be included in the price of the culvert replacement. Contractor shall remove and discard existing structures and provide all necessary incidentals to properly and safely install each structure. The bids shall be Unit Price for all work shown in the contract documents and specifications with unit prices for extras as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders in the specifications and submitted in duplicate on the State Board of Accounts Form No. 96. An executed State Board of Accounts Form 96a or similar document shall be required. The bidder must file with their sealed bid proposal, a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the amount of the proposal, payable to the Clark County Board of Commissioners. The above checks or bonds are to ensure the execution of the contract on-which such bids are made. The Contractor to whom the work is awarded will be required to furnish, before commencing work, a performance, maintenance and payment bond to extend for a period of one year after final acceptance, in an amount equal to the bid price of the contract awarded to said Contractor and Certificates of all Insurance as described in the Contract Documents. As a requirement of the Community Crossings Grant funding utilized for this project, the prime contractor to whom the work is awarded must be prequalified with INDOT. Subcontractors can enter into subcontracts up to $300,000 without being prequalified with INDOT; however, the subcontractor is limited to a total of $300,000 in unearned work under contract on any given date with any owner, contractor, or other party. The Clark County Board of Commissioners, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in bidding.
