Renovation of an educational facility in New Ulm, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project involves furnishing all materials, labor, skill, tools, and equipment for the re-roofing work described in the drawings and specifications. The base bid includes removal of the existing adhered EPDM roof membrane and roof insulation, and installation of a fully adhered 90-mil EPDM membrane throughout designated areas, including performance and payment bonds. The scope of work also includes replacement of deteriorated metal and concrete decks to match existing, and additional wood blocking as needed. Contractors must attend a guided tour of the existing facility and complete the work as specified within a specified number of calendar days from contract execution. All work must comply with safety requirements and be performed with strict adherence to the contract documents, plans, and specifications. Additional requirements include submission of bid security, the ability to provide performance and payment bonds, compliance with qualification and safety standards, and the provision of required submittals and certifications. All work disruptions must be coordinated with the Architect/Engineer, and work interfering with normal operations should occur during non-working hours. Bidders must submit unit pricing for deck replacement and additional wood blocking, and must submit bids in strict accordance with the project requirements and instructions.
