A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The work consists of traffic signal improvements at the Centre/N State intersection and the N Main/Washington/Ferry intersection in Concord, New Hampshire. Bidders must submit sealed bids, marked accordingly. Each bid must include a bid deposit of 10% of the total bid amount in the form of a certified check, cash, New Hampshire bank check, or bid bond, payable to the City of Concord, New Hampshire. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance bond and a separate payment bond, each for 100% of the contract price. Progress payments will be made monthly, with retainage procedures outlined: 10% retainage until 50% completion, then no further retainage if conditions are met, and a 2% retainage upon substantial completion, to be held during the two-year warranty period and released only after acceptance by the City. Bidders must ensure all submission requirements are met to avoid disqualification due to incomplete or unbalanced bids. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, or purchase on the open market if in its best interest. The plans for this work were prepared by Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc., Bedford, NH, with ground and boundary survey prepared by Richard D. Bartlett & Associates, LLC, Concord, NH. ADDITIVE ALTERNATE 1A The intent of this item is to replace/upgrade existing controllers and malfunction management units at 4 (four) intersections: N State/Capitol, N State/School, N State/Warren, and Centre/Green. The proposed work includes furnishing and complete installation of all equipment and materials in accordance with the City of Concord 2020 Traffic Signal System Standards and Construction Standards and Details to provide a fully-functioning traffic signal system at each intersection location. ADDITIVE ALTERNATE 1B The intent of this item is to replace/upgrade existing equipment to provide countdown pedestrian signals and Accessible Pedestrian Signals (APS) including APS extension brackets where applicable and other ancillary traffic safety signal improvements at the intersections of N State/Capitol and N State/School. The proposed work includes furnishing and complete installation of all equipment and materials in accordance with the City of Concord 2020 Traffic Signal System Standards and Construction Standards and Details to provide a fully-functioning traffic signal system at each intersection location.
