Renovation of a library in Oxford, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.

Questions may be submitted prior to January 22nd in writing to the Facilities Coordinator, April Labelle via email at alabelle@oxfordma.us. Oxford Free Public Library Main Door Replacement. The scope of work for the project will consist of, but not be limited to, the following: 1. Furnish all labor, services, materials, equipment, machinery, apparatus, appliances, tools, supplies, supervision, and all other incidentals items necessary to perform the following: a. Remove and Replace Main Exterior Door (Existing is Horton Linear Single Slide Door) with full breakout. Include options for: i. Automatic Operator & Weatherstrip ii. Frames iii. Doors and sidelites with vertical weather strip iv. Motion/presence sensor(s) v. Emergency breakaway vi. 2-point lock vii. 1" insulated clear tempered glass. viii. Active leaves b. Electrical i. Disconnect/Reconnect existing 110/120V connection to door system. 2. The Contractor is responsible for pulling all applicable permits. Permit fees shall be borne by the Contractor. 3. Owner to select final color of available doors/frames, etc. 4. 50% Payment Bond if contract is greater than $25,000. 5. Contractor shall verify all existing conditions and dimensions of the existing door system. 6. Work shall be completed during normal daytime work hours, Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm. The Contractor shall coordinate their construction schedule to conform to these hours. Work scheduled outside these hours is subject to the approval of the Town. Contractor to provide minimum two-week notice of start of work to Town. 7. The Contractor warrants to the Owner that all materials and equipment furnished will be new and of recent manufacture unless otherwise permitted in writing by the Owner and that all work be of good quality, free from faults and defects. 8. Contractor's personnel shall be OSHA certified. 9. Contractor shall be responsible for any damage done to Town property during the Work at no expense to the Owner. 10. The Contractor shall provide a document to the Owner certifying that if within one year after the date of accepted installation of the work, any of the work is found to be defective or requiring excessive service or maintenance the Contractor shall correct it within seven (7) days after receipt of written notice from the Owner. 11. Manufacturer warranty shall be in the name of the Owner ("Town of Oxford"). 12. The work specified under this RFQ and described herein is subject to Massachusetts prevailing wage law. Contractors shall make provisions in their quotation to pay their employees' prevailing wages as detailed on the accompanying wage schedule in Appendix A. 13. Work to be completed within 150 days of Notice to Proceed.
