Renovation of an educational facility in Alton, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a two-story above grade educational facility.
Asbestos abatement of flooring, ceiling plaster, and pipe insulation from the 1st and 2nd floors on the West end of the building. Bids will be based on a single lump-sum abatement. Bids shall include not less than the prevailing hourly wage rate determined by the Illinois Department of Labor. Illinois Preference Act (IL. Rev. Stat. Ch. 48, Par. 2201-2207) shall apply on all public works projects. Bid Security is required in the amount of five percent of Proposal. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond for the full amount of the bid accepted. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities in bidding, and to award a Contract for any part of the Work or the Project as a whole.
