West Chester Area School District, Chester County will receive sealed bids online for the East Bradford Elementary School Solar Photovoltaic System Project. The Project includes providing all labor, materials and equipment to design and construct a roof-mounted solar photovoltaic system at East Bradford Elementary School, 820 Frank Road, West Chester, PA 19380. All bids must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Contractor's Qualification Statement. Bids must remain valid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening and may be rejected at any time prior to the expiration of said date. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in amounts equal to 100% of the contract price and shall be included in the contractor's bid amount. Surety shall be satisfactory to the School District. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the form of a certified check or bid bond in a form acceptable to the District made payable to the District in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total base bid amount. The selected bidder shall be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount in a form acceptable to the District. Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The District reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids on any basis whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, to waive any informality in the bids, and to accept a bid which is in the District's judgment in the District's best interests, as permitted by law. This project is subject to prevailing wage and compliance with relevant Pennsylvania laws. All contractors shall be required to comply with the terms of a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Solar for Schools.
