Sealed bids are solicited for the Henderson High School Partial Roof Refurbishment/Replacement Project. Bids must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Contractor's Qualification Statement. Bidders must submit a certified check or bid bond of 10% of the bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100% of the contract price. All bidding documents are available through PennBid at no cost. Attendance at a pre-bid meeting is mandatory. Bids must remain valid for 60 days after opening and the contract is subject to prevailing wage. The School Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and to make or not make awards in the best interest of the school district. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following list of items as identified below and in the enclosed drawings. Henderson High School - Auditorium Dressing Room Roof 1.Remove existing Ballast stone and dispose of properly. 2.Provide a cold-fluid-applied polyurethane roofing/waterproofing system on structural concrete, plywood sheathing, cover board, metal or other substrates. 3.Included in the scope is to replace up to 15% of the roof area insulation, cover board, and EPDM roof membrane. Areas to be removed will be decided after the pre-construction roof scan. 4.Bidders must be manufacturer's approved installers. Submit a letter of certification from the manufacturer which certifies the roofing contractor is authorized to install the manufacturer's roofing system. A. Work shall include but not limited to; any and all demolition and removal of material, dumpsters, insulation, cover boards, cant strips, adhesives, walk pads, flashings, raising of roof curbs (if necessary), caulk, copings, coatings, etc to provide a complete and warrantied system. B. Included in the scope of work is a pre-construction and post construction roof scan. A copy of each scan will be provided to the owner. C. Final payment will not be made until the post construction scan is completed and any remediation work is completed. D. All material shall be asbestos free. E. Provide 20-yr manufacturer warranty for each area of roof included in this project scope of work. F. A 12-month contractor warranty shall be supplied for each roof section from the date of substantial completion. G. Provide all labor and materials necessary for a complete and watertight installation. 1. Upon completion of the installed work, submit copies of the manufacturer's final inspection to the Owner prior to the issuance of the manufacturer's warranty Henderson High School - Auditorium Dressing Room Roof & Auditorium Entrance Roof 1. Remove existing Ballast stone and dispose of properly. 2. Recovery Board - Mechanically attach new 1/2 " Secure Rock Cement Board over entire roof areas per the manufactures fastening schedule. Boards shall be clean, dry, dust free, and shall be properly secured to the structure. Secure loose boards if not in sound condition. Damaged or contaminated boards shall be removed or replaced. Cracks and joints between 1/4 " and 1" shall be sealed with Sikaflex sealant. Apply bond breaker tape sufficient to span width of crack or joint. Apply Sika Joint Tape SA centered over crack or joint. Apply Sika Joint Tape SA, a minimum of 2 inches on both sides of the crack or joint. 3. Prep & Prime - Clean all debris from roof surface and apply Sikalastic LowVoc Concrete Primer 300 sf/gal over recovery board. Sikaflex at all fastener heads, strip in all Secure Rock seams with 3" Sika Joint Tape SA. Sika EP Primer on all metal and dissimilar materials 250 sf/gal. 4. Sealant - SikaFlex 11 FC at angles 5. Base Coat - Sikalastic 641 @50 mils WFT (estimate maximum coverage 32 sf/gal). 6. Reinforcement - Apply Sika Fleece 120. 7. Top Coat - Sikalastic 641 @ 30 mils WFT with Fleece (estimate maximum coverage 53 sf/gal).
