The Lake Panorama Rural Improvement Zone ("RIZ") is seeking proposals for the continued dredging of the upper channel and upper basin area(s) of Lake Panorama during 2026. The selected Vendor, if any, shall remove silt and perform other associated work at Lake Panorama using a dredge, workboats and other equipment owned by the RIZ. Such work shall commence as soon as practical in 2026 and shall be completed by no later than December 31, 2026. The Vendor shall be compensated on the basis of the number of cubic yards dredged during each month related to the total removal of not less than 120,000 cubic yards of sediment from the upper basin and upper channel, subject to possible adjustment as provided for in the Request for Proposals and related bidding documentation. Questions regarding the project should be received in writing by 10:00 a.m. on or before January 27, 2026 (7 days in advance of the bid due date) at said address or via email to lmonat@shive-hattery.com. Each Bidder shall accompany the Bid with a Bid security, in a separate envelope, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of the contract corporate surety bond or bonds, acceptable to the Owner, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equivalent to one hundred percent of the amount of the contract. The bidder's security shall be in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the bid amount, and shall be in the form of a cashier's or certified check drawn on a bank in Iowa or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States of America, or a certified bank share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States of America or a bid bond with corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner. The bid security will be held by the Owner until a contract is fully executed and bonds are approved by the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
