The project consists of the following principal items: 1. 4" Concrete Sidewalk Removal and Replacement 2. 6" Concrete Driveway Removal and Replacement 3. Concrete Curb & Gutter and Gutter Removal and Replacement 4. All Miscellaneous Work Required to Complete the Project 5. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond in a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the full amount of the bid, executed by the BIDDER as principal and by a surety company authorized to do business in this State or a certified or cashiers check in a sum equal to $50.00, conditioned that if the principal's bid be accepted and the contract be awarded to the BIDDER, the BIDDER will execute and affect a contract in accordance with the terms of the BIDDER'S bid and provide a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner or a certified or cashier's check in a sum equal to $500.00 The Bid Bond and Contractor's License Renewal Certificate shall be submitted in a separate envelope attached to the outside of the bid envelope. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality in any bid and to hold bids for a period not to exceed 30 days from said date of opening of bids. If any person contemplating submitting a proposal is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the drawings, specifications, or other contract documents, or finds discrepancies in or omissions from the drawings of specifications, he may submit to the Engineer a written request for an interpretation or correction thereof. The person submitting the request will be responsible for its prompt delivery. Any interpretation or correction of the documents will be made only by addendum duly issued and a copy of the addendum will be mailed or delivered to each person receiving a set of the contract documents. Neither the Owner nor the Engineer will be responsible for any other explanations or interpretations of the contract documents. The Project has been designed by the City of Williston Engineering Department (Engineer). Owner assumes all duties and responsibilities and has the rights and authority to assign an Engineer in the Contract Documents in connection with the completion of the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents.
