Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The work to be performed includes the milling and resurfacing of Tremont Avenue from Palisade Avenue to house number 213, the intersection of Oleri Terrace and Tremont Avenue, Tremont Avenue from house number 263 to 254, the intersection of Abbott Boulevard and Tremont Avenue, and Tremont Avenue from house number 305 to Center Avenue. The contract work also includes minor curb and sidewalk improvements, ADA ramp reconstruction, and ancillary stormwater inlet improvements. Principal items of work in the project include 3,780 square yards of HMA milling (3 inches or less), 560 tons of Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course, 330 square yards of 4-inch thick concrete sidewalk, and 1,180 linear feet of 9" x 18" concrete vertical curb. The work must be completed within 45 calendar days of notice to proceed. Each bid must be made on prescribed forms furnished with the contract documents, including a non-collusion affidavit and ownership statement compliance form. A Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than ten percent of the bid amount (not exceeding $20,000) must accompany each bid. The successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds for 100 percent of the accepted bid amount and provide required insurance policies or certificates. Bids must meet requirements for corporations not chartered in New Jersey, equal employment opportunity, disclosure of partners/stockholders, prevailing wage compliance, and must be submitted in a sealed envelope properly labeled for the project. Bids must be irrevocable for sixty days unless otherwise stated, and the owner reserves the right to reject bids, waive informalities, or accept the lowest responsible bid, per applicable law. No interpretations of the meaning of the Contract Documents will be made orally by the Engineer to any prospective bidder. Notice of revisions or addenda to the Contract Documents shall be no later than seven (7) days, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays excepted, prior to the date for acceptance of bids be published in a legal newspaper and be made available by notification in writing by certified mail to any person who has submitted a bid or who received a bid package.
