The work involves renovations to the Girls and Boys Locker Rooms at Fort Lee High School. Terms of proposal and surety required are defined by the specifications. Drawings and specifications can be inspected and obtained from Environetics Group Architects, P.C. for a non-refundable deposit. A pre-bid conference will be held for bidders to ask questions. Requests for clarification and interpretation must be submitted in writing. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for 10% of the maximum bid amount, not exceeding $20,000. A 100% performance bond is required from the successful bidder. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey State Board of Education and comply with the Public Disclosure Law and other applicable requirements. Bids must be delivered by hand or time/date receipted courier to the Board of Education office. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive defects or informalities in bids as it deems in the best interest of the School District. All businesses must provide proof of registration with the NJ Department of Treasury to conduct business with any school district. The Work consists of all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the gut and renovation of (4) existing first floor locker rooms, bathrooms and team locker rooms and renovating into new girls and boys locker room, bathrooms and team rooms. Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, demolition and disposal of existing concrete slab, tile mud job, walls, doors, plumbing fixtures, plumbing, toilet partitions, lockers, finishes, flooring, ceiling, lighting, electrical, etc. and installation of new concrete floor slabs, walls, partitions, wall finishes, floor finishes, ceilings, lighting, plumbing, plumbing fixtures, toilet accessories, display walls, showers, electrical, doors, door frames, hardware, some HVAC ductwork and registers modifications, etc. new metal lockers and benches will be provided and installed by others. Contractor is responsible for coordinating the installation and coordinating all new concrete locker curbs with new lockers. Provide electrical disconnects for light fixtures in the shower areas and plumbing shut off as required for the abatement team.
