The work to be performed includes the milling and resurfacing of 13th Street from Stillwell Avenue to North Avenue. The project also includes the reset of existing casting, traffic lines, and other incidentals. Principal items of work for the project are: 4,300 S.Y. HMA Milling (3" or less), 50 S.Y. Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement Repair, 650 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course, and 2,420 L.F. Polymerized Joint Adhesive. The work under this contract must be completed within 30 calendar days of notice to proceed. Each bid must be made upon the prescribed forms furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, including the non-collusion affidavit and ownership statement compliance form. Bids must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid and not to exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid amount as security for the faithful performance and payment of the Contract and provide required insurance policies or Certificates of Insurance. Bids from corporations not chartered in New Jersey must be accompanied by a certificate authorizing them to do business in the State of New Jersey. The Owner reserves the right to reject bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2, N.J.A.C. 7:22- 9.10, or other applicable law; to waive minor informalities or non-material exceptions in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder, as per N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-1, et seq.
