Ridgeview High Scope of Work: The project involves the alteration of Ridge View High School's existing main office and main entry area to improve access control, enhance safety for students and staff, and align with best practices for secure school entry design. The work includes construction of a new secure entry vestibule, requiring modification of the existing building envelope. Specifically, an existing window opening within a tilt-up concrete wall panel adjacent to the reception area will be vertically enlarged to allow for the installation of a new door. A new entry canopy will also be installed to provide weather protection and define the main entry. The canopy will be supported by diagonal tie rods extending from the leading edge of the canopy back to the supporting wall, with all attachments coordinated with the structural engineer for compatibility with the existing tilt-up concrete construction. In conjunction with the new entry, the main office will be reconfigured to align with the revised layout, improving visibility and access control between staff and visitors. The new configuration is designed to promote student and staff safety while following best practices for secure, controlled entries within educational facilities. Tom McCall Elementary Scope of Work: The project is the alteration of Tom McCall Elementary School's existing main office and entry to improve access control, enhance students and staff safety, and align with best practices for controlled entries. The design includes an additional door and partial wall, access control measures, and modifications to existing infrastructure as needed. PROJECT: Controlled Entry Project LOCATIONS: Ridgeview High School 4555 SW Elkhorn Avenue Redmond, OR 97756 Tom McCall Elementary School 1200 NW Upas Avenue Redmond, Oregon 97756 All bids must be submitted on the bid forms furnished to the bidders. Each bid shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and plainly marked "RSD - RVHS & TMES CONTROLLED ENTRY PROJECT" and show the name and business address of the bidder. Each bid must be accompanied by an unconditional cashier's check, certified check or surety bond of the bidder in the amount of ten percent (10%). Unsuccessful bidders will have their security refunded to them when the contract has been awarded. Any objections to or comments upon the bid specifications must be submitted in writing. No bid for a construction contract shall be received or considered by the public contracting agency unless the bidder is licensed by the Construction Contractors Board of the State of Oregon as required by state law. Each bid must identify whether the bidder is an Oregon resident bidder. Bidder's attention is directed to compliance with requirements regarding submission of the First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Form. If the contract amount exceeds $100,000.00, the First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Form will be required and may be submitted either with the bid or within two hours after the bid closing time and date at the bid site address. Failure to provide the First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Form may result in bid rejection. The Redmond School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive formalities, and to postpone the award of the contract for sixty days. All bids and all prices quoted in bids shall be firm for a period of sixty days after the bid closing date. This contract is for a public work subject to applicable Oregon laws regarding prevailing wage rates.
