The project consists of exterior paint at seven sites: Del Rosa, Emmerton, Fairfax, Highland-Pacific, Lankershim, Parkside, and Roosevelt Elementary Schools. Each bid must conform and be responsive to all pertinent contract documents including the instructions to bidders. Bidders must possess an active and valid State of California Contractor License Class C-33 or Class B at the time of bid opening and throughout the contract. As bid security, each bidder must provide with its bid form a bid bond from an admitted surety, cash, cashier's check, or certified check to the order of the San Bernardino City Unified School District in the amount of 10% of the total bid price. This will guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract within seven calendar days of the notice of award if selected. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond. The successful bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District to ensure performance. All workers must be paid no less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the California Department of Industrial Relations, and the successful bidder and subcontractors must comply with all registration and qualification requirements of applicable labor codes. All bids must be submitted according to the instructions provided by the District.
