Install Trupave Paving Mat as per Trupave manufacturer instructions and specifications 4. Install 1.5" AC with reinforcing Forti-Fi reinforcing fiber overlay as per specifications. 5. Restripe to match existing striping. Repair and Seal 1. Repair pavement. 2. Apply two coats of Guardtop as per specifications. 3. Restripe to match existing. Remove and Replace 1. Remove and haul away all layers of existing asphalt paving. Note: Exact thickness is unknown and areas may have previously been overlaid. Contractor is responsible for removal and disposal of all layers including any petro-mat. 2. Export existing base materials or import and compact new class 2 base as necessary to achieve final finish grades that match existing finish grades with minimum 3" new AC pavement. 3. Install 3" new AC pavement at playgrounds and 4" at roadways and parking. 4. Restripe to match existing Specifications Pavement Repairs: 1. Clean out cracks 1/4" to 1" in width and fill with Crafco Parking Lot Sealant Type - 2. Cracks larger than 1" shall be ground and filled with hot asphalt mix and compacted. 2. Provide District with no less than 48hrs notice to inspect crack preparation prior to fill. Do not fill cracks without the District's approval. Follow all product manufacturers' instructions. AC Seal: 1. Complete surface preparation as per Surface Preparation section of provided Guardtop Specification. 2. Evenly spread two (2) coats of "Guard Top" at a rate of 45 gallons per 1000 sqft each. 3. Method of application shall be flood and Squeegee. Spray applications will not be accepted. Scope of Work Page 2 4. Contractor shall not dilute Guardtop material beyond 80% Guardtop to 20% water. 5. Contractor shall provide the District with receipts showing quantities of Guardtop purchased for each school site. All receipts must show the job site name and address for which it was purchased. 6. Restripe to match existing. It is the contractor responsibility to identify all existing pavement striping prior to seal coat operation so all striping is done exactly as before. Exception: Full colored infill of the games will not be reinstalled. The striping of the game lines only will be restriped. AC Placement: 1. Asphalt Concrete Paving A. Play Areas: (unless noted otherwise) 3/8" type III-D-AR4000 3" AC on compacted native soil B. Roadways & Parking Lots: (unless noted otherwise): 1/2 " type III-C2-AR4000 4" AC on existing or new 6" compacted base. 2. Asphalt concrete shall be delivered to the project site at a temperature of not less than 250 degrees F, nor more than 320 degrees F. 3. The depositing, distributing and spreading of asphalt concrete shall be accomplished in a single continuous operation by means of self-propelled Paving machine, motor grader, spreader box or similar spreader. 4. Once commenced, spreading must continue without interruption. No greater amount of asphalt mix shall be delivered in one day than can be properly distributed, rolled and compacted during that day. 5. Prior to spreading, a tack coat shall be placed on the cleaned vertical face of all curbs, gutters and structures which will butt against the new pavement. 6. Apply a minimum of six coverages with a steel wheel roller loaded to 10 tons. 7. Compaction shall consist of a minimum of four coverages with a vibratory roller, rolling from the center to the edge. All compaction rolling shall be accomplished before the mix temperature falls below 185 degrees F
