Renovation of a medical facility in Perry, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The project involves renovations to the second floor of the hospital. There is also work on the first floor in some areas to provide mechanical and electrical systems to serve the second-floor areas that are being renovated. The construction budget for this project is $3,700,000. Bidders must accompany their bids with a bid security equal to 5% of the bid amount, and must provide corporate surety bonds acceptable to the Owner for 100% of the contract amount. All bidders must provide a statement regarding their residency status. Contractors may purchase materials, supplies, and equipment for this project without sales tax, provided they possess the appropriate exemption certificate from the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after the scheduled closing time. The Owner intends to award the contract to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder, and reserves the right to waive informalities or irregularities and to reject any or all bids.
