The project consists of the pre-purchase of two magnetic bearing centrifugal water-cooled chillers to be installed as part of a future installation bid package. Dallas County Hospital will initially purchase the chillers, warranty, and service agreement, which will be transferred to the installing contractor upon award of the contract for the installation scope. A Purchase Order will be issued by the hospital as form of payment. The pre-purchase can be done immediately. Bidders may examine bidding documents online at designated locations. Copies of documents may be obtained in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders upon depositing the required sum. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid is required, in the form of a cashier's or certified check, certified bank share draft, or bid bond. Successful bidders must furnish a corporate surety bond for 100% of the contract amount after award. Contractors may be exempt from sales tax with proper documentation. Bidders must not withdraw bids for 30 days post-closing. Bidders should be prepared to submit performance and payment bonds. Preference will be given to Iowa products, provisions, and labor as legally required. The Owner reserves all rights to waive irregularities or reject any or all bids, and intends to award to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder.
