Furnish all necessary machinery, tools, apparatus, and other means of construction; do all the work; and furnish all the materials, for the unit prices named in the itemized bid to complete the described work in strict accordance with the plans and in conformity with the current edition of the MDOT Specifications for Construction and any attached supplemental specifications. Work includes furnishing and spreading 38% calcium chloride solution on Clinton County gravel roads, requiring CDL compliance, positive displacement pump equipment, and the ability to perform continuous mile-long or 300-foot spot treatments. The Clinton County Road Commission reserves the right to accept any part of the bid or the entire bid, and to award an alternate bid as a backup supplier. Bidders must ensure compliance with transport regulations, material testing requirements (with possible shared costs for independent testing), equal opportunity and nondiscrimination requirements, insurance requirements (including various liability and workers compensation minimums), and must provide required insurance certificates before work begins. Prices must remain firm throughout the current year. Payment will be made 30 days from invoice date pending approval. No fuel surcharges will be paid. The Commission is tax exempt and will provide a certificate upon request. There is an option to renew the contract for additional one-year terms, with pricing and terms remaining unchanged for each renewal. Activities must cease if insurance policies cancel or expire.
