The Town of Taber is seeking to purchase a Crew Cab 4x4 Half Ton Truck. New and demo units are accepted. All standard and necessary components are considered included whether or not specifically noted. The vehicle must be supplied with suitable components to comply with specifications in all respects, and the supplier is responsible for delivering a fully equipped vehicle with compatible components to provide dependable, efficient service. Proponents are required to complete Vehicle Specifications as part of their bid submission, indicating for each if their product meets or does not meet the requirement and to specify any deviations with detailed information. Any optional items should be clearly stated and priced separately. The Town places importance on fleet management aspects that reduce service and repair downtime, provide efficient training and operational benefits, and demonstrate increased cost savings in terms of parts inventory, warranty, and response time. Responses should clearly outline maintenance and repair terms and conditions. Bidders must include a schedule of prices, completed questions, completed vehicle specifications, completed references, and completed document uploads in their submission. Pricing must be all-inclusive, in Canadian funds, and itemize all applicable duties and taxes except GST, which should be listed separately. The bid must include all labour, material, travel, delivery, insurance, installation, pre-delivery inspection charges, and overhead. The Town may require a valid Town of Taber Business License and proof of good standing with W.C.B. at the time of contract execution and payment. The successful respondent may be required to arrange a demonstration/inspection of the equipment at the Town’s Administration Building within five business days of written notification.
