Reference Number 0000410201 The City of Aurora ("City") plans to expand the capacity of its Rampart Delivery System (RDS) from its current capacity of around 73 million gallon per day (MGD) to an ultimate capacity of 125 MGD at buildout. The RDS currently consists of two large diameter pipes - a 42/40-inch diameter pipeline that was installed circa 1957, and a 54-inch diameter pipeline that was constructed circa 1978 - that convey raw water from the Rampart Reservoir to the City's water purification facilities. A phased plan to add a third pipeline has been developed by the City. The first segment of the RDS Expansion, Phase 1A, extends the third pipeline from the Rampart Reservoir Outlet Works to existing Intertie 1, east of Hwy 85 at the south edge of Highlands Ranch, and will increase the RDS system capacity to approximately 81 MGD. 6.5 miles of 76-inch diameter steel Phase 1A pipeline, including all valves, vaults and other associated appurtenances required for the pipeline o Replacement of the Rampart Reservoir Outlet Works Facility. o Modifications to the Denver Water Foothills Intertie to connect the 76-inch pipeline with the Strontia Springs Reservoir raw water supply to Foothills Water Treatment Plant o Modifications at Intertie No. 1 to connect the new 76-inch pipeline to the existing 54-inch RDS pipeline o New outlet from the 76-inch pipeline for future connection to the Roxborough Water and Sanitation District WTP o New outlet and connection to suction piping (installed by others) supplying a new pumping station for Roxborough 4/24/2026 Completed Award of Contract Question Deadline 02/12/2026 at 2:00 PM MT Questions are submitted online No, All questions shall be submitted in writing via email to Nathan Jones, Procurement Supervisor, at njones@auroragov.org.
